The Molecularium® Project began in 2001 as the brainchild of Professor Richard W. Siegel, Director of Rensselaer Nanotechnology Center, as well as Professors Linda Schadler and School of Engineering Dean Shekar Garde. The project’s mission is to expand science literacy and awareness. The goal is to excite audiences of all ages to explore and understand the molecular nature of the world around them. This is accomplished through compelling stories, experiential learning and unprecedented visualizations in immersive and interactive media. The project has produced such hits as Riding Snowflakes and Molecules to the MAX! for Imax® and Giant screen theaters.
Now 16 years since its inception, the project has finally released a new molecule-building game app called My Molecularium. It is available for free at the Apple App Store or Google Play today, and can also be accessed here: http://molecularium.com/MyMolecularium.html
