
Prof. Ravishankar Sundararaman has been promoted to a full professor and has also been awarded with the James M. Tien '66 Early Career Award. The award honors productivity in both teaching and research, with outstanding achievement in one of these areas.
Prof. Sundararaman has established himself as a leading researcher in applications and development of electronic structure methods in areas of energy harvesting, interfacial electrochemistry, materials for future interconnects and spintronics. His outstanding research program is complemented with innovative pedagogy including development of modern courses infused with data and Machine Learning, exceptional teaching, advising, and mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as postdoctoral researchers.
