Yanming Zhang has been awarded the Corning's Glass Age Scholarship which will support his research for the 2019-2010 academic year. He is the fifth recipient of this award since its inception in 2015. This award will support Yanming's work with Prof. Yungeng Shi at the Rensselaer Materials Science and Engineering department on investigating the crystallization of glass melts using the hot thermocouple technique.
